He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy E. Tourney Sr. and Irene Voos Tourney; his father-in-law Oray Rogers Sr.; and his brothers-in-law, Kevin Paul Rogers and Charles "Chuck" Rogers.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Rogers Tourney; his sons, Matthew Tourney (Tina) and Nicholas Tourney (Carie); his grandsons, Harrison and Joshua Tourney; his brother Johnny D. Tourney (Susan); his mother-in-law Louise H. Rogers; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Rogers (Julia), Dale Rogers (Tammy), Oray Rogers Jr. (Elisabeth) and Tammy S. Rogers. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
