We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2025, at the age of 89, Daniel Wilson of Franklinton, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert I. Wilson, Sr. and Olivia Wilson (Rhodes); his wife Leona Wilson; his siblings, Theodore Wilson, Sr., Robert I. Wilson, Jr., Elizabeth Brown, Louise Dunn, Macedonia Wilson, Vendora Gray and Nell Dawson; and his granddaughter Jardan A. Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth E. Wilson, Sr. (Maria) of San Diego, CA, Shari K. Burnette (Jerry) of New Orleans, LA, Alease M. Wilson of Houston, TX. and Jermaine A. Wilson (Tonia) of Houston, TX.; his grandchildren, Kenneth E. Wilson, Jr., Ashley N. Edwards (Randall), Chauntel A. Wilson and Jakob J. C. Wilson; his stepgrandchildren, Paco Fowler, Michael Burnette and Fred W. Rueger; his great grandchildren, Naomi G. Edwards, Randall E. Edwards Jr. and Lincoln J. Wilson; his stepgreat-granddaughter Eris Edwards; and his caregivers, Erica Moore and Georgia M. Warren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Crain and Sons Funeral Home (2000 Washington St, Franklinton, LA 70438). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union Chapel AME Church (23011 Silver Creek Rd, Kentwood, LA 70444).
