With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jimmy Tate of Franklinton, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carnell Warren Tate and Winzlo Tate, Sr.; his siblings, Denise Tate-Bickham and Cedric Tate; his siblings-in-law, Wallace Walker and Janice Hart; and his father-in-law James N. Bickham.
He is survived by: his wife Nettie B. Tate; his children, Makeisa C. Tate-Dyson and Jimmy L. Tate (Tracy) of Franklinton, LA; his grandchildren, Amiryon Michelle, Amazin Le'Chelle Dyson, LaGrian Bell (Duke) and Daylin Latroy Tate; his godchildren, Jasmine L. Bickham, Fredrick O. Magee, Jr. and Kierra R. Johnson; his siblings, Alton Tate of Franklinton, Winzlo Tate (Tanya) of Slidell, LA, Edith Warren (Kenneth Sr.) and Kathy Walker of Franklinton, LA; and his mother-in-law Dorothy L. Bickham. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greater Hayes Missionary Baptist Church (31499 Hayes Creek Rd, Franklinton, LA 70438). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
