He is survived by: his children, Brent Bateman (Holly) and Christie Bateman of Bateman's Ice; his grandchildren, Desiree, Casey (Leah), Jesse, Abagail, Gabrial, Joshua, Grace, Shelby Jr., Faith and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Jace, Jade, Leo, Kai and River.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joesph Catholic Church (15710 LA-16, French Settlement, LA 70733). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the same location.
