We are sad to announce that, on April 10, 2026, at the age of 93, Wilfred LeRoy Guitreau of French Settlement, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodule Guitreau and Ida Guitreau; his grandson Damien Thornton; his great grandchild Chandler Smith; his brothers, Roland Guitreau and Aubrey Guitreau; and his son-in-law Doug Thornton.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Sanchez Guitreau; his children, Latricia Guitreau (Bobby), Wanda Thornton and Phyllis Champagne (Trent); his grandchildren, Jason Guitreau (Tammy), Chantelle Guitreau, Denee Aydell (Dusty), Darcie McMorris (Jeron), James Carpenter (Desiree) and Bryce Carpenter (Skylar); his granddaughter-in-law Elizabeth Thornton; his sister Keller (Emile Jr.); and his sisters-in-law, Selena and Carolyn Guitreau. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends.
