We announce the death of Betty Griffin Duet of Galliano, Louisiana, born in Golden Meadow, Louisiana, who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 77. Betty will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Penelton "Do Do" J. Duet, Jr.; her son Lonny Duet; her parents, Gilbert Griffin and Irene Plaisance Griffin; and her sister Geraldine Griffin.
She is survived by: her sons, Kelly, Armand (Brandi) and Jonathon (Danette); her grandchildren, Ross (Toni), Gage (Lauren), Sage (Michaela), Austin (Jade), Bailey and Parker; her great grandchildren, Gannon, Willow, Briggs, Vada, Ojess, Noa, Lucille and Esther; and her siblings, Jeanette Griffin, June Pinell and Jerry Griffin.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church (Louisiana 1, Golden Meadow, LA 70357). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at the Hebert Cemetery.
