She was predeceased by: her father Huey Long Cheramie; and her brother-in-law Reed Peter Barrios. She is survived by: her husband Charles Richard Ashman; her daughter Lauren Ashman Baker (Justin); her mother Gloria Guidry Cheramie; her grandchildren, Lillian Mae Baker and Charles Michael Baker; and her siblings, Dana Cheramie Barrios and Huey Joseph Cheramie (Sherena). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
