She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Valance Jr.; her daughter Tammy Valance; and her parents, Alton Savoie and Eva Savoie. She is survived by: her daughter Annie Melancon (Mike); her granddaughters, Vanessa Pierce (Craig), Michelle Melancon, Lauren Guidry (Cade) and Johnette "Joni" Melancon; her great grandchildren, Cameron Melancon, Alex, Janie, Kylie, Simon Pierce, Robert Oakes III, Thomas, Audrianna Christen, Jonah and James Guidry; and her siblings, Ray Savoie (Miki) and Cherie Gourges (Michael). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and/or Community Bible Church.
