He was predeceased by: his parents, Levy F. Plaisance Sr. and Adelia Matherne Plaisance; his grandson Austin Perritt; his siblings, Levy Plaisance Jr. and Verlie Matherne; and his brothers-in-law, Franklin Dufrene, Leroy Cheramie, Jay Lapeyrouse and Percy Matherne.

He is survived by: his wife Cathy Plaisance; his children, Heather Stucker (Brian), Rebecca Parks (Steve), Christopher Franklin (Aubrey), Bobbie Perritt and Kyle Franklin Plaisance; his siblings, Spergin Plaisance (Shirley), Michael Plaisance (Renae), David Plaisance (Mary), Tommy Plaisance (Christine), Leann Dufrene, Genelle Cheramie and Judy Lapeyrouse; and his sister-in-law Trudy Plaisance. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
