She was predeceased by : her husband James Newton Meredith; her sons, James Jr., William Joe and Jay Carroll; her sister Linda Baccarini; and her grandchildren, William "Little" Joe, Jr. and Jessie Michelle.

She is survived by : her brother W. G. "Bud" Arnold of Gilbert, LA; and her sons, John Meredith (Sheryl) of Winnsboro, LA and Jeff Meredith. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a very large extended family as well as many friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (7680 Gilbert St, Gilbert, LA 71336). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
