It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Laverne Johns of Gilbert, Louisiana, who passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Delmis Lee Johns; her son Kenneth Dewayne Johns; her father Rev. Willard C.; her siblings, Billie S. Mixon, Bennie Carroll Mixon, Jerry Mixon and Diane Tillman; Priest Mixon.
She is survived by: her children, Angie Holloway (Joe) of Harrisonburg, LA, Darryl Johns (Diana) of Baytown, Vicki Morris (Tony) of Gilbert, LA and Kristy Lain (Frank) of Wisner, LA; and her grandsons, Lathan Lain, Peyton Lain, Bryan Morris, Patrick Morris, Andrew Johns and Travis Albritton. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family.
Memorials may be made to Turkey Creek Baptist Church.
