He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold, Sr. Melancon and Melba Sanford Melancon; and his in-laws, Willie, Jr. and Bernice Exnicious Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Diane Thompson Melancon; his children, Pedra LaNee'Elizabeth and Devon (Wallisha Prestly); and his sisters, Sylvia Melancon Popleon (Kenneth Popleon) and Trina Alsay Comeaux (Raymond). He is also survived by six grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
