He was predeceased by: his wife Margie Rene; his children, Roger Rene and Linda Truit; his siblings, Julius Rene and Carmen Hafslund; and his granddaughter Misty Richard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Richard (Elson) and Kathy Gravley (Jon); his son-in-law Vern Truit; his grandchildren, Vickie Truit, Sherry Stern, Victor "Vic" Gravley (Theresa) and Cami Wall (Ryland); and his niece Emmy Scarano (Steve). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren.
