She is survived by: her spouse Willie Stevens; her daughter Earlene; her grandchildren, Jasmine and James Hood, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Scarlett and Keanu Hood; her siblings, Shirley Gibson, Barbara Jackson, Janice Lumar (Wilfred) and Gerald Ross; her in-laws, Olivia Ross, Lovenia Ross and Edward Johnson Jr.; and her godchildren, Joseph Rafiel Jr. and Kim J. Carey.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Life Funeral Services (315 E Airline Hwy, Gramercy, LA 70052). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Horizon Baptist Church (29169 LA-644, Vacherie, LA 70090). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
