We announce the death of Gilson Joseph Roussel (Gramercy, Louisiana), who passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Roussel and Ethel Roussel (Abadie); and his grandparents, Laurent, Winceslas Abadie, Hamilton Roussel and Ludivine Roussel (Faucheux).
He is survived by: his wife Linda Arceneaux; his sister Brenda Roussel Plaisance; and his pet Kitty. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (616 E Main St, Gramercy, LA 70052). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
