He was predeceased by : his son Drake Bourgeois, Sr.; his granddaughter Cherie Bourgeois; his parents, Lena Trosclair Bourgeois and Joseph Bourgeois, Sr.; and his siblings, Aline Mancuso, Joseph Bourgeois, Jr., Melvin Bourgeois, Lester Bourgeois, Ethel Rizzuto, Audrey Leroux, Bertha Morrison, Posey Bourgeois and Jeanette Duhe.
He is survived by : his wife Annabelle Louque Bourgeois; his children, Derald Bourgeois (Nancy), Brian Bourgeois, Sr. (Crystal) and Darlene Faucheux (Bobby); his daughter-in-law Millie Bourgeois; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Bourgeois, Leola Bourgeois, Eldine Bourgeois and Rosemary Louque. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
