He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Lastrapes and Rita Lastrapes; his wife Geraldine Lastrapes; his son Christopher Lastrapes; and his brother Sydney "Nook" Lastrapes.
He is survived by: his children, David Lastrapes (Stacey Leblanc) of Youngsville and Sydney Hudson (Gabe Gremillion) of Maurice; his siblings, Carl Lastrapes and Kitty Barry; his grandchildren, Shawn Lastrapes (Hannah), Emily Para (Leo), Mallory Lastrapes, Blake Lastrapes and Tyson Hudson; and his great grandchild Paxton Para. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Melancon Funeral Home of Arnaudville (224 Main St, Arnaudville, LA 70512). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. Francis Regis Catholic Church (232 Main St, Arnaudville, LA 70512).
