He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas and Mary Lamar Thomas; his siblings, James, Grey, Clifton Thomas and Margaret Morten; and his father-in-law Rev. Roland Livas (Julia Navarre Livas).
He is survived by: his wife Irene L. Thomas; his children, Earnest Thomas Jr. (Linda), Tyrone Williams (Latanya), Raymond Williams (Erica), James Thomas (Albertina), Arnesto Thomas (Brennaisa), Sonja Travis (Earl), Gina T. Maul, Carolynn Hopkins (Preston), Shearton Jones (Rene) and Valerie Brown; and his sister Rosa Carter of Virginia. He is also survived by thirty-nine grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren; sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church (1100 Bourbon St, Thibodaux, LA 70301). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM.
