He is survived by: his wife Irene Thomas; his children, Earnest Thomas Jr. (Linda), Tyrone Williams (Latanya), Raymond Williams (Erica), James Thomas (Albertina), Arnesto Thomas (Brennaisa), Sonja Travis (Earl), Gina T. Maul, Carolynn Hopkins (Preston), Shearton Jones (Rene) and Valerie Brown; and his sister Rosa Carter of Virginia. He is also survived by thirty-nine grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
