She was predeceased by: her husband Dempsey Rushing, Jr.; her parents, Ance Wages and Etsie Wages; her grandchildren, William Wilhite and Julia Wilhite; her great grandchild Ann Wilhite of Nevada; and her siblings, Alfred Houston, Elsie Mae Pippins, Margaret White and Dank Nations.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patsy Rushing of Columbia, Wanda Franklin (Jay) of Crowville and Debbie Bond (Scott) of Gilbert; and her grandchildren, Kenneth Wilhite, Jessica Williamson (Jeremy), Naomi Nelson (Jonathan), Bobbie Kastner (Ron), Jim Michael Cupp (Brittany), Amber Rushing, Thomas Franklin, Heather Parker (Terry) and Chelsea Bond. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Young's Community Memorial in Winnsboro, to help defray funeral expenses.
