He is survived by: his children, Kathie (Shawn James), Joseph Long Jr. and Gary Long (Patricia Miller); and his grandchildren, Ryan Long, Brandi (Eric Lane), Christopher (Megan Long), Christina (Joey Mead) and Stephen (Courtney James). He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
