She was predeceased by: her husband Warren Marrero; her son Dwayne Marrero; her parents, Joseph Verrett and Audrey Verrett; and her siblings, Samuel Verrett, Frank Southall II, Irvin Southall and Norma Verrett.
She is survived by: her son Kevin Lee Marrero, Sr. (Trine); and her sister Barbara Birdlow (Alvin). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the New Sunrise Baptist Church (1325 Leboeuf St, Gretna, LA 70053). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
