It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecile Blanchard of Gretna, Louisiana, born in Westwego, Louisiana, who passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucien Lee Aguilar, Sr. and Lottie Schexnaydre Aguilar; her husband Oliver; her siblings, Ruby Angelo, Rose "Lou" Tullier, Alzina Arcement, Irene St. Amant, Myrtle Byrn, Lillian Theriot, Dorothy Hanson, Alex Aguilar and Lucien Lee Aguilar, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara, Lawrence Salvato, Lelia B. Matulich (late Kent), Evelyn B. Scivicque (late Carl) and Adam "Skippy" Blanchard Jr. (Ada).
She is survived by: her children, Karen B. Tucker (Bruce), Patrick W. Blanchard (Renee), Sally B. Tusa (Nick), Becky B. Brown (Charles "Todd") and Nancy B. Surak (Brian); her grandchildren, Bruce Tucker (Beth), Tiffany Tucker, Jennifer Blanchard, Derek Blanchard (Alicia), Blake Blanchard, Nicholas Tusa Jr., Nicole T. Templet (Zack), Matthew Tusa, Joshua Brown (Tiffany), Elizabeth Brown, Sarah Brown, Luke Surak, Emily Surak, Rhea Martin and Hilarie Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Bryce Tucker, Allie Harmon, Audrie Harmon, Amya Blanchard, Hunter Blanchard, Nora Blanchard, Addison Templet, Jackson Templet and Jonas Thompson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
