He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Gaunichaux and Ester Lepage; his siblings, Wallace Peter Gaunichaux and Patricia Gaunichaux; and his goddaughter Nicole Wlliams.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gaunichaux; his children, Charles Gaunichau, Jr., Kenneth Gaunichaux (April), Lucius Gaunichaux, Demetrice Riley (Peter), Shennel Gaunichaux, Jyn McCray, Janice Skinner (Lydell), Monica Strong, Demaria Sonia, Alvin Sonia (Kenya), Shana Williams (Donald), Yolanda Crawford (Chris) and Brandon Sonia (Camia); his brothers, Edward Gaunichaux and Anthony Gaunichaux; his nephew Kevin Harris; and his godson Gerald Sylvest. He is also survived by 42 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Jesus Is Lord Evangelistic Ministries (1728 Hancock St, Gretna, LA 70053). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. FACE MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED.
