He was predeceased by: his parents, James Joseph Gelpi Sr. and Dorothea Smith Gelpi; and his siblings, James Joseph, Jr., John David, Stephen Gerard (Evelyn), Thomas Martin, Theodore Michael, Robert Charles (Linda), Joseph Vincent (Susie), Barbara G. Baier (Paul) and Margaret G. Miller (Ron). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
