With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Georgine Washington of Gretna, Louisiana, born in Tylertown, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 3, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Washington Jr.; her mother Mazie Ludd-Bradford; her brother John; and her son-in-law Lloyd Vincent Dickerson. She is survived by: her granddaughters, Kristina Dickerson of Dallas, Torrie Rogers (Devin) and Lauren Carter (Paul); her great grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Jadyn Holt, Devin II, Torrin Rogers, Logan and Clark Carter; her brother-in-law Laverne Washington (DeAnna) of Brooklyn; and her godchildren, Lorrie Jones-Sandifer and Tyrone Jefferson.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Westlawn Cemetery (1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, LA 70056).
