He is survived by: his son Blake Christian Donewar; his brothers, Frank Donewar and Jody Donewar (Sandra); his nieces and nephews, Nicole Donewar Trentacosta (Perry), Amber Donewar, Brandon (Cortney), Charles Gustave IV (Christine) and Carl Michael Donewar (Tiffani); and his caregiver Sherri Christiana.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Anthony Catholic Church-Gretna (701 Burmaster St, Gretna, LA 70053). A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (924 Monroe St, Gretna, LA 70053).
