It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Wade Ellis of Gretna, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on June 11, 2022, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hezekiah Ellis and Mable Williams Ellis; and his siblings, Lillie Mae Ellis, Gail Ellis Carter, Frank, Hezekiah, Michael, Eric and Torrence Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Kelisha Polk Ellis; his children, Ja'Vair, Kentrice, Ka'Lya (Kenneth Wade Ellis Jr.) and O'Sani Sage of Washington; his siblings, Janet Clark (A. S. Clark), Marva Fluence (Gary), Terry Ellis Rodgers (Randy), Celestine Davis (Lawrence), Hazel Diggs, Scott Ellis (Dinah) and Mark Ellis; and his siblings-in-law, Marquita Theophile, Darilyn Jones Brown, Devery Polk and Sheldon Polk (Cressida). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
