He was predeceased by: his former wife Nancy Rita Vicari Stoltz; his parents, Margaret Thiel and Joseph Stoltz; and his siblings, Josephine, Amelia, Collett Pierré, Theresa, George, Richard and Paul.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene Thibodeaux Stoltz; his children, Gail Stolz Doré and Robert Stoltz Jr.; his grandchildren, Rochelle Doré, Renee Doré Guidry, Bryan Stoltz, Laurie Stoltz Gegenhiemer and Jason Stoltz; and his great grandchildren, Harper, Levi, Tucker, Austin, Kaylyn, Kaylee and Alyssa.
