He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Stutes of Morse, LA. and Elsie Trahan Stutes of Morse, LA.; his wife Hilda Stutes; his siblings, Sherleen Thibodeaux, Hazel Foreman (Chet Duprie) and Allen Stutes; and his stepson Curtis Badeaux.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Abshire (Toby Gary) and Stephen Stutes; his stepchildren, Pat Withers, Geraldine Green, Roy Badeaux, Kenny Badeaux and Sheryland Vincent; his grandchildren, Tamara Elkins, Justin Bourque and Kelbi Stutes; and his caregivers, Katie Comeaux, Erika Mouton and Emery. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
