He was predeceased by : his parents, Ludring John Plaisance and Mickey LaBauve; and his former life partner R. L. Lopez. He is survived by : his daughter Nycole Plaisance Carlin (Ryan) of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Hogan Wilmore and Layne Carlin of New Iberia; his siblings, Debra Abshire (Gary) of Wright, Susan LaComb (Nelson) of Gueydan, Steven Plaisance (Carol) of Gueydan and Robert Plaisance (Stacey) of Gueydan; and his godchildren, Tye Plaisance, Rachael Simon Bertrand and Jessie Vines.
