He was predeceased by : his parents, Duffy David and Eumea Simon. He is survived by : his wife Lynn Monvoisin David of Gueydan; his children, Wesley James David (Paydra) of Broussard, Kim Lepretre (Isaac) of Gueydan and Christine David; and his grandchildren, Katie Hammers of Maurice, Allison Lepretre of Scott, Christopher Lepretre of Florida, Zachary Lepretre of Broussard and Parker White of Broussard. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan Honoring (311 4th St, Gueydan, LA 70542).
