With sadness, we share the passing of Arthur Julius Whitehead of Hammond, Louisiana. Arthur, born on December 31, 1960 in Independence, Louisiana, passed away on August 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Whitehead and Erma Whitehead Sr.; his brother Norman Whitehead Jr.; and his nephew Josh Whitehead. He is survived by: his wife Carmen Whitehead; his children, Mandy DeSouge, Lauren Whitehead and Whitney Hamm; his granddaughters, Chelsea, Rosalyn and Katherine; his siblings, Joyce Farber, Tom Whitehead and David Whitehead; and his close friend Robert Bradley Sykes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home - Hammond (12012 US-190, Hammond, LA 70401). A masonic service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made toward the cost of funeral services.
