He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Columbus McMorris and Zelma Johnson McMorris; his grandson Dustin McMorris; his siblings, Herbert McMorris, Tommy McMorris and Vera McMorris; and his son Chris Sanders.
He is survived by: his children, Katie Sykes, Tammy Darlene McMorris and Richard McMorris; and his grandchildren, Christina Nickens (Anthony), Randall Smith, Michael Sykes (Brittany), Ashton McMorris (Vonnie), Jami McMorris, Andrew McMorris, Allen Garon, Christopher Hill, Cassidy Hill, Kaylee McMorris and Joseph McMorris. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home (12012 US-190, Hammond, LA 70401).
