We bid farewell to Darrell Sanders of Hammond, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 14, 2025 at the age of 61. Darrell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Sanders and Catherine Holloway Sanders; and his brother Leonard Todd. He is survived by: his wife Denise Patterson Sanders; his children, Tykia Bland (Leanne Doud), Julius Williams Jr., Cory Patterson and Gracia Patterson; his grandchildren, Gavyn Bland, Travontae Bland, Tykia Legacie Bland, Endia Anderson and Julius Williams III; his siblings, Reginald Sanders (Jackie), Elvin Remble and Shirley Todd; his nephew Alton Todd; his father-in-law Dennis Patterson; and his aunts and uncles, Claiborne Ray Todd, Alvin Anderson, Ricky Anderson, Rodney Anderson, Johnny Lee Anderson, Eld, Joyce Scott, Florence Todd and Annette Anderson.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Day Missionary Baptist Church (707 S Spruce St, Hammond, LA 70403). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
