George Harvey Stewart Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of George Harvey Stewart of Hammond, Louisiana is shared. George, born on October 27, 1942, passed away on October 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Dillard Stewart Sr. and Myrtis Jeanette Stewart; and his siblings, Thomas D. Stewart III, Johnson Stewart Sr. and Mary Catherine Stewart.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Tate Stewart; his daughter Stacie Miranda; his son-in-law Michael; his son Michael Tom Stewart; his daughter-in-law Melanie; his sister Lillie Bankston; and his grandchildren, Katie, Triston, Emma, Matthew and Mark.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home - Hammond (12012 US-190, Hammond, LA 70401). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
