With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gloria Knapps of Hammond, Louisiana, born in Clinton, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2025 at the age of 83. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gloria may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Knapps; her parents, D. D. Allen and Ruby Allen; and her granddaughter Caroline Crouch. She is survived by: her son Daniel Goldsby (MaryAnn); her grandchildren, Hardy Goldsby and Mallory Bush (Dylan); and her stepdaughter Casey Knapps.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McKneely Funeral Home (110 E Factory St, Amite City, LA 70422). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
