He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Hill and Goldie Gates Breland; his father-in-law Glenn Stevens; his brothers-in-law, Lyman "Lucky" Dykes and Michael Stringer; and his cousins, Charlie, Daisy Smith, Linnie and Huey Preston McLin.
He is survived by: his daughter Deryn Faith Hill Brown (Wesley); his sisters, Sylvia Trisler and Vicky Stringer; his siblings-in-law, Paula S. Dykes and Steve Stevens (Jeannie); his grandchildren, Remi Claire Brown and Gabe Tomlinson; and his mother-in-law Ava H. Stevens. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Through his donation to LOPA, he gave the gift of sight, allowing others the opportunity to see the world through eyes that came from his final act of generosity.
