She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Harper Carney and Ruth Villa Wilburn. She is survived by: her children, Jonathan Heard (Jan Heard) of Harrisonburg and Crystal Cripps (William Cripps) of Harrisonburg; her grandchildren, Stephanie Arnold, Calista Arnold, Aevian Heard, Cloey Cripps and Alyssa Cripps; and her siblings, Norma Jean Williams of Alabama, James Earnest Carney, Marland Arthur Carney, Jerry Dean Carney, Fred Joseph Carney, Leon Joseph Carney, Joyce E. Carney, Mary Grace Carney and Viola Ruth Carney.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the New Life Pentecostal Church (4868 LA-126, Jonesville, LA 71343). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location.
