We announce the death of Barbara Bell of Harvey, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on September 26, 2026. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lannic Bell and Octavia Joseph Augusta; and her siblings, Gloria Bell Williams, Anthony Bell and Kevin Bell.
She is survived by: her siblings, Lawrence Prince, Abraham Bell, Larry Bell (Patricia), Gilbert Bell (Betsy M.), Charles Cook (late Tony), Raynell Augusta Hollins (James, Jr.), Sandra Bell, Cecilia Bell Brown (Leroy) and Annette Augusta Hickman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Davis Mortuary Service (230 Monroe St, Gretna, LA 70053). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
