He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Sr. Claverie and Ora Mae Claverie; and his sister Ora Lee Bartolo. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Harding Claverie; his children, Tommy (Annette), Brian (Christy), Scott, Michael and Alisia Lowery (Dustin); his grandchildren, Erica, Paige, Cameron (Amy), Kassie (Travis), Mason (Jordan), Michael (Maddie), Abby, Grace, Hayden, Leila and Brady; and his brothers, Lewis Jr. and Roy. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 13th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church-Gretna (610 6th St, Gretna, LA 70053). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 13th 2026 at the McDonoghville Cemetery (520 Hancock St, Gretna, LA 70053).
