It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Demetrius Williams Sr. of Harvey, Louisiana, who passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gloria, Eugene Givens, Mary and JC Williams; his stepfather Herman Haile; his brother Patrick Williams; his mother-in-law Jackie Muse; and his uncles, Lionel Williams and Sedric Richards.
He is survived by: his mother Venessa Williams; his wife Devoney Muse-Williams; his children, Demetria (Wayne), Dekel, Demitrius, Daria, Demetrius Jr., Devon and DeJon; his granddaughters, Wynter and Raine Brown; his father Frederick Taplin (Oletha); his brother Tolderick Williams; his sibling's children, Tamia Williams and Tolderick Williams Jr.; his father-in-law Kenneth Muse; his siblings-in-law, Kenyon Muse, Abdul Rauf and Schante Muse; and his godson Denver Muse. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
