It is with sadness that the passing of Hazel Ann Roussell of Harvey, Louisiana is shared. Hazel Ann, born on July 5, 1942 in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on September 4, 2026. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Ernest Sr. Roussell and Beulah Gasper Roussell; her siblings, Leona R. Williams (Morris, Sr.), Mable R. Patterson (William, Jr.), Vada Roussell, Ernest, Jr. (Claudette), Owen (Valerie), Dewey B., Rev. Harold, Sr. (Azalea) and Glenn, Sr. Roussell, Sr. (Debra); and her godson Mark Patterson.
She is survived by: her brothers, Hilton, Sr. (Annette) and Joel Roussell, Sr. (Patricia); her godchildren, Dwayne Edinburgh, Katrice Jones-Morgan, Tarence Davis, Tiffany Thompson-Agbomeji, Jeremy George and Ryan Roussell; and her nieces and nephews, Owen McPherson, Ira Wilson, Vanessa Frederick and Dawn Byes. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Israel Baptist Church (1612 Esther St, Harvey, LA 70058). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
