We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2024, at the age of 69, Verna Chopin Boyd of Harvey, Louisiana, born in Gretna, Louisiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Verna Chopin Boyd to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Melvin Cambrice, Sr. and Vernita Chopin; and her brother Melvin Cambrice, Jr.. She is survived by : her siblings, Gaynell Vontoure, Shewanna Cambrice, Lenora George, Jessica Willis, Marie Davis, Robert Cambrice, Henry Cambrice, Wilbert Cambrice, Leroy Hodges and Myron Ervin; and her child-in-law Tyeshia Boyd. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 8:30 AM at the St. Paul Baptist Church (1509 Monroe St, Gretna, LA 70053). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
