It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn E. Gibson of Haughton, Louisiana, born in Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Carolyn departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Carolyn may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Carolyn leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carson McLemore and Henrietta McLemore; her husband Ivy Gibson; and her brother George McLemore. She is survived by: her children, Eugene Gibson (Kathy) of Minden, LA, Kathy Cole (Paul) of Haughton, LA, Molly Teutsch (Barry) of Cochran, GA and Terry Gibson (Penny) of Cotton Valley, LA.; and her sisters, Catherine Maxey, Dora McDonald, Jewel Roberts (Jimmy) and Veanice Koenig (Mark). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
