She was predeceased by : her parents, Virginia King, and A. W. King, Jr.; and her mothers-in-law, Mattie Pruett and Vickie Pruett. She is survived by : her husband Steve Pruett; her son Scott Pruett (Dena); her grandsons, Henry and James; her daughter Stephanie Pruett (Matt); her sister Pam King Polk (Terrell); her father-in-law Gerald Pruett; her nieces, Lissa Gore (Blake) and Courtney Robbins (Jeremy); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ethan and Lainey.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 21st 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (200 W Lampkin St, Starkville, MS 39759). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 21st 2023 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 23rd 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home & Park (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037).
