She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Shockley and Nellie Shockley. She is survived by: her significant other Robert T. Chester; her daughters, Edna Clarke and Billie Ruth Martin; her grandson Kevin Lane Chester; and her children, Carol Gardner (Spider), Robby (Jan) and Bobby (Tracy). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her friends.
