He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Lee Roy McHan and Patsy McHan; wife: Melanie McHan; children: Ashley Council (Tim), Alex Person (John David), Tyler McHan (Holli), Taylor McHan (Kati), Luke McHan (Lara), Logan McHan (Claire) and Mason McHan (Danni); grandchildren: Analese, Andrew, John Kenner, Emery Kate, Knox, Anna Claire, Cooper, Molly, Mac and Isabelle Taylor; sister: Sharon Craig (Dean); brother: Patrick McHan (Bridget); paternal grandparents: Dorthy and Roy McHan; maternal grandmother: Dorthy Malloy; caregivers and professional contacts: Dr. Tyler Lash, Dr. Robert Smith, Angela Blake; other: Tad Prescott, Dak Prescott, Shannon Rotenberg; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Funeral Home (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family would also like to thank Tad and Dak Prescot and Shannon Rotenberg, Executive Director of the Faith Fight Finish Foundation for their help in getting Mike to M.D. Anderson in a timely manner.
