He is survived by: his wife DiAnna Brown Hood; his daughters, Jessica Hood Wilson and Jennifer Hood Hair (Bill); his grandchildren, Austin Hair, Logan Hair, Shelby Wilson and Gavin Wilson; his siblings, Gary Hood (Ruth), David Hood (Pam), Vicki Hood Collins and Mark Hood (Michelle); his siblings' children, Haley Michell (Mark), Matthew Hood, Kellie Drach (Shane), Crystal Hood, Susan Crowe (Jeremy), Laura Hood (Chris), Alex Hood, Morgan Callaway (Cody), Tyler Waitt (Olivia), Devyn Waitt, Alice Farrer, Miranda McClelland (Jameson) and McKenzie Hirthe (Matthew); and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Waitt, Marsha Farrer and Terry Brown (Joyce).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Hill Crest Memorial Park (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037).
