He is survived by: his wife Doris Seats Metheny (Dee); his children, Robin Mumpower (Chuck) of Myrtle Beach and Mark Metheny of Shreveport, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Taylor Montgomery (Andrew), Joshua Mumpower of Hawaii and Sam Mumpower (Melina) of Myrtle Beach; his brother Don Metheny (Jane) of Eugene, Oregon; his niece Jennifer Metheny (Chris Andrejko) of Eugene, Oregon; his nephew Matthew Metheny of Washington State; and his great-niece Anna Jane Andrejko of Eugene, Oregon..
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Willow Lake Community Clubhouse (103 Willow Lake Blvd #6720, Bossier City, LA 71111). The military honors will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (7970 Mike Clark Rd, Keithville, LA 71047).
