He was predeceased by: his parents, Hattie Willis and Curtis Emory Bellar, Sr.; and his siblings, Curtis E. Bellar, Jr., Melvin L. Bellar and Pauline Bellar Lloyd.

He is survived by: his wife Jerelyn Coker Bellar; his daughters, Jana Bellar Subias-Marston (Mark) and Christa Bellar McFerren (Kevin); his grandchildren, Logan Wade McElhaney, Peyton Ross McElhaney, Ashtyn Claire McElhaney, Ava Caroline McFerren, Anthony Leonardo Subias-Marston, Isabella Maria Subias-Marston and Cole Brian Subias-Marston; and his siblings, Mary Edith Brown, Will F. Bellar (Dennis) and Bobby Jim Bellar (Susie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
